AIROH GP550S FULL FACE HELMET – WANDER BLUE GLOSSThe Airoh GP550S helmet is Airohs most advanced sports helmet yet, following on the highly successful GP500 model, and is designed to meet the demands of racing at the highest level with the GP550S seen at the principle of racing, the MotoGP, as well as WSBK, BSB, Moto America and more. The GP550S shell is made of a fibre composite that Airoh calls High-Performance Composite, which is a lightweight and impact-resistant material, making the helmet weigh just 1,370 grams and incredibly strong. Like all good track helmets, the Airoh GP550S has all the features youd expect, crowned with a rear spoiler that gives it its distinctive side profile. But its not all looks. The spoiler helps stabilise the helmet at high speeds, and improves aerodynamics. But more than looking cool, keeping cool is just as important, and the ventilation system of the GP550S consists of 6 air inlets, that are really easy to open and close on the fly, on the front part of the helmet, with exhausts on the rear to extract hot air, all of which combine to do an excellent job of keeping the rider cool. Moving onto the visor, which is primarily devised for on-track riding, it has anti-scratch and UV treatments applied from the factory, plus it features a tool-free design that allows it to be easily removed and changed in an instant, which is extra handy as ALL GP550S include a Dark Smoked visor, in addition to the clear one installed on the helmet, as standard. Both visors come pin-lock and tear-off ready, with a pin lock lens included too! Inside the GP550s, the helmet’s inner padding is fully hypoallergenic, removable and washable, which keeps the helmet feeling fresher for longer.
